The Mets injury situation just got worse on Thursday, when star Second baseman Neil Walker announced he will undergo surgery.
Walker, who has a herniated disk in his back, has been nothing short of spectacular, replacing Daniel Murphy at second this season.
The injuries keep mounting, as key players such as the Captain, David Wright, is also done for the season, along with Steven Matz, and Matt Harvey. Lucas Duda is also out.
The second place Mets, who are fighting hard to give their fans another taste of postseason experiences, will continue to keep pushing though. Last nights 3-1 victory over the first place Nationals prove this team is ready to gain momentum and achieve great things while overcoming obstacles.
