Sally and Jack fall further in love and explore their new relationship
Chapter Six
"You're going to sick of me saying it" Jack mumbled into the phone.

"No, I really don't think so..." Jack and Sally had been talking on the phone for over an hour but it only felt like a few minutes. She couldn't get enough of him and it felt like he couldn't get enough of her.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive" she smiled.

"It's because you're in love" he snickered. Sally's face burned and she let out a small giggle. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that."

"Whatever, yes I am."

"Are you saying you're IN LOVE with me?"

"Yes Jack, I'm in love with you."

There was silence for a few moments, they were both taking in these new feelings. Even though Sally all ready loved Jack, it was different now. Even though they weren't speaking at the moment, it was like he was there with her.

"When do the kids come home?"

"Tomorrow night" she sighed. "I'm so happy that Todd is spending time with them, but I miss them so much. I'm not used to not being with them. Then over the weekend, my mom wants to take them." Sally pouted a little.

"I know angel, but it's good for them and for you."

"It is" she agreed.

"It's hard, I know... I miss my kids all the time and they're grown."

"Yeah... I'm air hugging you" she smiled.

"Mmm, I can feel it. Your arms around me. I don't think I've ever known a love like this before... This intense and real." Jack paused, then at the same time they said "I've waited my whole life for this." He chuckled.

"You're amazing Jack."

"Thank you, but you're the amazing one."

"How about we both are?"

"Yes. I'm amazing because of you."

"I'm glad you think so"

They fell silent again for a moment, leaving Sally to yawn involuntarily.

"Getting tired sweetheart?"

"No, I just need more coffee" she giggled.

"It's almost midnight love, you should probably get some sleep."

"I know..." she paused, then spoke meekly "I just don't want this day to end..."

"Oh angel... we have plenty more days like this ahead of us."

"Really?"

"Forever if you'd like." Sally smiled into the phone.

"Guess we'll have to wait and see."

"Yes ma'am. Now, get some sleep. I love you Sally."

"I love you too Jack."

She pushed to end the call and plugged her phone in. As she walked into her bedroom, she passed the mirror and caught a glimpse of her face. Her eyes were a lighter shade of green and there was a huge smile on her face that she couldn't get rid of. She stood there a few seconds and took in the look of love. She decided that she liked how it made her look, which was not something she was used to.

She slid on an oversized T-shirt and some shorts and climbed into bed, but not before grabbing one of the kids teddy bears. Sally held the bear extra close tonight and looked forward to tomorrow.

Sally woke up around eight a.m., still with that big smile on her face. She rolled over to check her phone, there was a message from Jack about three hours ago. She unlocked her phone to read it.

"Sally... I have been up all night (nothing new there though), thinking about you... Thinking about us. I'm so elated that you not only accept my love, but return it so beautifully. I look forward to this new part of our journey together. Words can not express how much I love you."

Sally's heart was pounding in her ears. This was really happening to her! She had finally found him. She knew it was quick, but not really considering the months prior that had brought them together. They had known each other for over six months and she knew that she loved him for a while. She wasn't sure if she should reply, he was probably sleeping. She decided to tidy up the house first, then she would reply. The kids would be home tonight and she could barely contain herself waiting for them.

She busied herself with dishes and laundry, once those were done she decided to go pick up the kids bedrooms. The boys shared a room so it was almost always messy, even with they did help pick up. Finally, once that was done she sat down in the living room and grabbed her phone. She had been thinking of what to say to him the last couple hours, but she was still drawing a blank.

"Jack, I don't know what to say.... I'm speechless and I always have something to say. I look forward to this part of our journey as well. I love you and can't get you off my mind."

After she hit the 'send' button, her face burned with new emotions. For being closed off for so long this whole experience was new to her. Her phone shrilled with the sound of a text message, she figured it was Todd.... It was Jack.

"Good morning my beautiful! I hope you slept well, thank you for your kind words. I hope you are having a good day. Also, I love you!"

"I love you too! I can't seem to say it enough. And I certainly can't hear it or read it enough."

"Wonderful darling because I love hearing it as well. I have a few things to work on today but I will message you when I'm done. I love you Sally... Have a good day with your babies!"
