All that I see has become all to real for me. I wish there was more, but there is not.

Vacant
This reality
Pungent
The duality
Troubling
Such causality
Always
I’m here
Standing
So alone
Hiding
Within myself
Cowering from all
That I don’t understand
Questioning myself
And all things else
How has this become real
The blackness above
Seemingly
A sheet pulled tight
Hiding what’s behind
A thicker darkness
Impenetrable
The obliqueness
There are no lights
No shapes to identify
Nothing
So very absolute
Nothing as it appears
Is all that’s true
Upon a distant star
Continually I wish
It’s not there
Or should I say
It’s become unclear
I want to see
Just as others do
I want to believe
Just as so many others
Find a way to
But presently
Expectedly
I cannot
The closer I stand
The further away
I often find myself
I have climbed
To every height
Just as I have sunk
To so many depths
But still nothing
Is what I get
What I wish to miss
Upon a distant star
I imagine there are
A billon people
That I don’t know
All holding lights
Trying to lead me home
Back to a semblance
Of what I once knew
Before all of my skies
Turned into empty expanses
Expressionless voids
Of both contemptment
And containment
Keeping me here
Seeing nothing so clear
I wish I could poke
A giant hole
In that sheet pulled tight
Thus releasing
The darkness of my plight
I wish I could see behind
All that has made me blind
To a reality and truth
That for me is increasingly
Just not there…
