This article describes about how our perception of time differs from the reality. |
Story of my Begenning At first I thought I was a loner who was riding through time as a pointless entity without any sense of purpose and direction. I never had an objective or a goal in vision. Every little dream I had was blurred and fictitious. Strands of time beheld me as a speck of dust amidst gushes of shingle. I am no story teller because I never had content which could be poured out on an empty page. Time took its course and fled me through phases of skirmish, acknowledgement, astonishments and perplexity. Surpassing those, I kept treading on to find connotation and resemblance to my existence. I overlooked my teenage life with the same thought to bear. I had blocked all creativity to achieve the inevitable. My conscious belief in the fact of purpose had me wonder how all would be so calm. Have they all found their goals? Were they all content with life? Did they all win their battles? I kept pursuing every man for their intent and failed to unearth anything new. After savaging half my adolescent life, it dawned upon me as to how flawed was my perspective on everything. The key to life is not finding purpose but to live it in the moment and making it perfectly worthy to be remembered. We live through time pondering about the deeds we do and how we cherish them. There is nothing more dynamic in this universe than “TIME”. TIME takes a toll on everything, be it relationships, success, Age, material. Our fourth dimension has been ruling us since eternity. TIME changed us from savage cannibals to sophisticated self-centered creatures. TIME gave us the opportunity to dominate and survive the planet. TIME rules our lives. It makes us and breaks us. Upon thinking of how powerful time is, it’s our duty, responsibility and obligation to respect it. The only way we do it, is to do it right. Every move, every argument, every deed we do must be the best so that when time goes on and when we look back, we feel contained and satisfied that TIME was good then and it has been good forever since. We have 80 years of a lifespan on the planet. Each day brings in a new endeavor which we have never seen. It’s a new existence, a new avenue and a new set of uncertainty for every passing second. A baby wonders what’s next but as we grow up, we constantly fall into a pit of delusion that life is monotonous. 80 years is too small of a time to be called monotonous. How can life be the same when every next second is unknown? Now let’s take a step back and think of our priorities and ambitions that we had built up in our minds. Some lived for themselves and were thrown under a hoard of accusations. They were fined for being un-cooperative, different, and ambitionless. The people who did this were the ones who themselves are slaves to a mythical deception which says that you should always focus on the future and slog in the present. That will bring good times to you. Success is a relative word. For a peasant, success means a good season of crops and generous rains. Success to a student would be passing the exams with amazing grades and getting into the college he wanted. Success for an employee would be getting a raise or a promotion. But what we fail to understand is that success is ingrained on every moment we breathe. TIME gives us ample opportunities to enjoy success at every second. You see a beautiful women cross the street. That is success for an adolescent boy. You see a sweet baby smile that is success for a pregnant lady. You sip your favorite cup of mocha at the local Starbucks. That success for someone. So we must forgo our eagerness to buy good time and stop treating time as if it’s our property which we mold it, the way we want. Today I am working on a good average scale. I have a beautiful wife and a healthy child. They are the most important people in my life. I have been going through decades of indecisiveness as to how should my life shape up. But reality stands tall gazing upon with a mocked face, screaming vividly that no matter what you plan for, Time will take its course the way it’s supposed to be. I never envisioned myself in 20’s and having a kid. I dreamt of being super rich. But I am average and a happy family is what I have. So let’s stop chasing an unknown dream and step back to appreciate what time has given us so far. A pauper gets a loving wife though he has no food. A photographer gets paid less though he churns his passion for a living. A baby cries of hunger but is taken care of by the sweet smiling mother. Everyone has an upside. Everyone is lucky to be living a life. We just change our perception and things will be bright and beautiful. That is nature. That is life and this is the purpose of our existence: “Make every present moment count because this moment is the biggest treasure of all”. Thanks for reading.
