Framed!

White Rabbit stole my glasses
while I lay fast asleep,
scurried down his silly hole,
with all intent to keep
them. He lost out too
for when he crashed
they were underneath
his bunny tail.

Broken lenses don't allow
sight of keyboards or monitor screens.
Tired of writing about sight and seeing,
all I want to do is scream!
Pawns lined up in a row
patiently and quietly sit.
Noon comes and goes
and I remember...Oh epic fail.

Forgot my phone
and his was toast:
no way to notify
our host.

Hubby deserves a knighthood
for putting up with stressed-out me--
kept cracking jokes about dead and lines
suggested that I jabberwocky.
It's not a verb said I, all huffy.
He Cheshire-grinned, all yuck-yuck,
but he got us back and now I'm writing,
hearing you all think, what the heck?

Forgive the delay,
you'll have until four
to write for tomorrow
without loss of score!
