Brutally honest view of love written at a time of struggle.
One missing link
There are trillions of fish.
Thousands of types.
And only one is for me?
What if I forget my pole?

Does not give the maker pain.
If only one out there exists,
And I'm absent from the equation?
Will the other never be happy?
See the logical disintegration?

As long as other links exist,
In reality, we're all alone
Trying to thrive and relish.
But the one you declare superior,
may not be the one at all.

There will always be a chain.
Because that is your best
From the knowledge of your soul.
I could be the best.
But, alas, I forgot my pole.
