Given that the salon is rife for gossiping,
nearly everyone was shocked when,
unusual as it seems, we heard a gnu.
I for one will not forget the sound--I
named it the Sound of Aberdeen.
Trying cacophony of unbridled armament,
high in eardrum splitting pitch,
emphatic auditory spear made to pierce.
Someone likened it to Hell’s hiss,
and perhaps they were not too far at sea.
Let me just say that I will avail
one so exposed (yours truly) to
noise reducing headphones if I ever return.
