let me know what you think
At first the drums started out as a loud obnoxious noise that I couldn’t get rid of. I tossed and turned trying to find a way for the drums to turn to music, but no matter how hard I tried it seemed as if they were going to keep me awake. With each beat of the drum I continued to turn, trying to get comfortable, until they eventually became a calming, soothing sound that allowed me to finally close my eyes and sleep.
Behind closed eyelids I could see the beautiful things that I wish would occur in real life. My dreams allowed me to go to a place where Justin and I were together with a family that we had created. However, as the night wore on the drums seemed to become distant, far too distant if you asked me.
Eventually all was quiet and I work with a start, not sure what had woke me. Looking around the room I saw the tall clear glass of water on the night stand, and the small orange pumpkin nightlight in the hallway that was glowing. Within seconds it came to me that what woke me from my deep slumber was the absence of the drums that had at first been obnoxious as I had tried to sleep.
Sitting up I threw my feet over the edge of the bed only to feel something that shouldn’t have been there. Looking down at the floor, what I saw was a pile of bones, and with that I let out a loud scream that woke the neighbors. With the blinking of my eyes the bones disappeared almost as if they had never been there, and all had been a dream.
