Light Torches

Light Torches

     The caves were in was dark and gloomy. Of course, they had Light Torches. But those Light Torches were starting to go out. And they didn’t bring any others to replace them.

     “I thought you brought extra Light Torches,” said LaWusa. LaWusa was the leader of these explorers.

     “No, I didn’t,” said the other adult explorer Voltin. “You said you were going to bring them.”

     “Didn’t I ask you get some extra Light Torches? I’m sure I did,” said LaWusa.

     “I did,” said Voltin. “You put them in your Night Sack.”

     “But I left my Night Sack at the Base Camp,” said LaWusa. “Why did you remind me to bring it with us?”

     “Because I thought you did brought it with you,” said Voltin. “You always bring do.”

     “What are we going to do for light? We are going to be here for days,” said LaWusa.

     “A bat,” one of the Junior Explorers screamed. “I just saw a bat.” By the time LaWusa and Voltin got to her the Light Torch she had was out.

     Another Junior Explorer screamed too. “Did you see a bat too,” asked Voltin?

     “No, I saw a spider. The biggest spider I have ever saw,” said the other Junior Explorer. “It’s almost as big as I am.” This time the Light Torch was still on when LaWusa and Voltin got there. And it was the biggest spider they had ever seen too.

     “Let’s get out of here,” said LaWusa. “Luckily, we aren’t too deep into the caves yet.”

     They all ran toward the entrance. And they almost made it too. A ghost was blocking the exit. The ghost started floating toward them. Was it there to help them. They were about to find out.
