Love Poem for No One in Particular
Two hands reaching up then coming back down.
I flow into you like the River of Sorrow
But you speak to me such kind words.
I can imagine a place next to you
And I sing this into Being.
We are closer now than ever before, yet
I still do not know your name

What is your name, honey?
Tell it to me now while I glow a fluorescent blue
And hum the dogs to sleep

What would you like me to say when
It's 2:14 a.m. and I am wide and you are tall?
What do you want me to call you
In the morning when the sun peeks through the
Window and I am dreaming of you?

I want to know you in ways that
may or may not
Exist and in return
I will let you seep into parts of me
That I have not touched in centuries

I will allow you entrance into these cities
On the condition
That you never stop speaking to me through hymnals,
That you never let my dreams last too long,
That you never stop loving-

Here I am, giving all Me to You, and
I only ask for your patience.
