He said I'm dark blue,
too cloudy for perforation of sun rays,
my eyes too cold for his existence in them
but forgot when they first met
and that dying moment, frozen
like red rose kissed by morning frost.
And when he took my trembled hands
saying I'm safe with him, all I wanted
is to stay wrapped in his arms like
a gift that you find the first morning
of white Christmas.
I spoiled his name on the lilac paper,
I knew that love cannot be written as black or white
and I had enough thoughts to color the ocean
by his presence.
I told him that this is my world
where he couldn't tell me how much of him
I'm allowed to love and he frowned.
We slowly melted into languid days
and the rain started to fall.
Memories are not always nice to remember
but we have to cling to those who are.
