"{Behind The Door.2054512 new folder 14}Open in new Window.
Jenny lived with her granny and her uncle, and although she was a happy child she sometimes longed for a sister or a brother to play indoors when it rained. Margaret, her friend next door didn't get, bored, because there were loads of kids in her house. Granny let Jenny play upstairs when it rained . The box room had all kinds of stuff to keep her amused, old gas masks from the war days and a tin helmet. but Jenny soon began to be bored after a while and went over to the window to see if the rain had stopped. She looked down the garden, down to the end to where the pampas grass and the green house was, and she saw a dimly lit red door.
'I haven't seen that door before.' Jenny armed with a lantern from the box room made her way down to the garden to the door and peeped through the keyhole. Inside were little Fairies all fussing around the Queen who wore a coat one half red and the other half green. Jenny was excited and almost knocked on the door, but she stopped and said to herself,
'I may frighten them away? No she decided to keep this her secret and tiptoed away from the door.
