Then contract life quicker than couple-bump hips,
watch Something crown between Nothing’s lips,
while chemicals cluster Big Bang Nucleus.

Babies get pampered, fed, bathed,
napped, kissed, hugged, burped
and patted to childhood.
Children pinch spoons, while chemicals refuse
to share a room with Nitrogen. Bibs turn to napkins on lap,
car seats thrown to front seat belts,
and adolescents publically push
mother’s kiss to front door steps.
Chemicals drift from nucleus,
compounding to planets and solar systems.

Planets celebrate college by finding its orbit. Its tilt falters
until planet’s plan their future with Astrophysic courses,
all night adrenaline, and binge weekends.
Post-university honeymoons dampen
when student loans mail out,
then planets retrograde in melancholic remorse.

Adults find under-qualified jobs that
pay for 2 bedroom apartment.
Twenty years spent in complacent space
with flat screen 10am news reports,
refrigerator stove top coiling around Queen Bed.
Wife with 3 kids; Husbands with 3 excuses
for 3am welcome mat arrivals.

Planets and apartments populate to extinction
until they become rock and rotten pipe. Human life
degrades to nursing homes, while solar systems attract collision.

Solar systems rearrange dust on surfaces,
and molten cores exchange chemicals. Death
results from blending stars in deep space grinders
and resurrects from carbon carcasses.
