A collection of poetry-like stuff from 5/23/15-5/26/15, during the battle of Tampa Bay. |
I. Rangerland, I’m longing to hear you sing About the great deeds of our boys in blue. It’s never easy, I think you’ll agree, To support them no matter what they do. Rangerland, don’t give up on the boys yet. Can we just hold on ‘til another fight? Another day to make our way back from… “The sky is falling! It’s falling tonight!” II. Here’s a toast to the boys in blue; To the plans they made, they stayed so true. No matter the cost So the fans stay sauced As they flushed the season down the loo. III. There once was a team from New York Dreaming of a bottle to uncork To drink from a chalice In Lord Stanley's palace Till those Bolts pulled a knife and a fork. IV. So when you think that our boys are through When you feel there's nothing to do You just pull up a seat Watch the King on his feet Come through for his young, brave boys in blue. V. There once was a hockeyman named Nash Which the fans loved to trash and to bash Then he went and scored two They knew not what to do ‘Til in game 5 came the Rangers’ crash. VI. There once was a man named St. Louis Who could score a goal on bended knee Some will say he’s too old To do anything bold But in game 6, I hope that he’ll score three. VII. There's this hockey team that they call the Rangers Which the fans follow, not knowing the dangers. With heart attacks aplenty; Their beer glasses all empty, And superstitions are always game changers. |
