A message to someone hurting, from a secret friend.
I love it when you smile,

And when you laugh at me.

I love it when you say hi

To me in the halls, for

It means you see me.

I know I annoy you

(I hope only occasionally)

And that sometimes

You ignore me,

But I am here for you,

If ever you're in need.

I heard the rumors

Before you did,

And I'm ashamed to say

At first I believed them,

I know who spread it

On that one long day

I know you have friends

Even if you say you don't,

Because if have me,

Even if you don't know.

I wish I could tell you

How much I like you

And let you know that

Someone out there

Respects you.

But I don't have the guts

To say any other than

"How are you?"

Which leads me to

Another thing: I

Respect your honesty

Because you'll never

Answer good or well

If it's not true and right,

And that's a hard thing to tell.

I hope you get this message

And know I'm talking to you,

And that every word written

Is honest, right and true.
