So Far Away

You are so far away it's killing me,
I miss your soulful presence being near,
And all I want is beside you to be,
For when you are around I feel no fear.

Regret is what it's like when I look back,
At all those times I knew not what to say,
Despite what you told me, I felt in lack,
And when I knew, you were too far away.

But let's not lose ourselves in long ago,
Let's look at days to come, which will arrive,
If only time would not move just as slow,
It would be simpler for me to survive.

Yet I will grab each chance that comes my way,
Until I might see you again one day.
