Love can be wonderful. But it has a dark side; It is addictive. It is a drug. Drugs kill.
Love is a Drug,
The world full of addicts.
Love is a drug that
Leaves all dead or sobbing.

She is my great poppy;
The morphine that makes
The pain dissolve; Just like when
the smile she wears just for me is questioned.

Love is a drug, that makes men
More addicted than if they were on Herion.
Each second they spend
Away from thier poppy is pure agony.

I got hooked on her smile;
Her smile that spread eurphoria
Across my entire being.
The Helter Skelter stared as I sat at the start.

Before I knew it, I was hooked;
I was with her because I needed her.
We dabbled in dark acts of the Devil
and, boy, was we heading down!

I was staring at the stain on the bed;
It finally snapped me out of a stance of trance.
I was sobbing and puking and her peril and my acts.

I had smashed that ghoulish smile she wore;
She said that'd she'd had enough;
She said she was getting help - rehab -
From the milkman down the road.

She slided for a knife or a needle,
But I was too fast; Too high and flying;
Seeing the truth, the Devil inside
That only fungi could reveal

I had though she was an angel;
And then she had been there with me
Forever, but then,
I stopped her trying to get help.

Love is a Drug.
It leads to addiction.
It leads to Lust.
Love leads the head of
The meeting to weep,
Remembering his tragedy.

Love can be great;
Love can be dangerous;
Love leads to
Tolerances and Intolerance,
And
Blood and Death.
