She realized that world was to busy for just one person
She stood on the ledge looking out over the city realizing that out of the billions of people she was just one. She realized that after everyone is gone the world is going to keep spinning. All the sadness she felt started to fade as she stood up there. Everything seem to become unrealistic. It seen to become what was shown on tv shows and movies or read in books. It seem to become a desperately wanted fantasy, because when you stand on the tallest building and look out over the city you don't see all the crime and hate going on. You don't see the cheating husbands and wives, the people getting fired or the small businesses bring closed. You don't see the people being raped, mugged, or beaten, the teenagers going in for abortions or the first time mothers going in for their ultrasounds. You don't see the families being ripped apart by divorce. From up there everything seemed so unreal.it seemed like everyone was to busy working 9 to 5 jobs just to support themselves and their families. It just seemed like another day. She stood on that ledge looking at " another day" unfazed by how fake everything seemed to be. It was like a dream. When she was on ledge she saw normal. She saw the cars at the traffic lights or driving to their destinations. She saw people walking in and out of stores, people talking or texting on their phones, holding their child's hand to keep them from wandering off. She saw people working in their offices waiting for the time their shift ends. She saw people sitting in the park reading, playing with children. Sitting on the patio of restaurants talking and laughing with on care in the world. She saw the falseness in all the lies people were constantly told so it made her feel free when she stood up there looking out over the city at the falsehood of it all. It made her realize that out of the billions of people she was one. She realized that the world was to busy to worry about one person. She realized that once everyone is gone the world would keep spinning an the days, weeks, months, and years will continue to pass.
