The Fall of The Beatles (from the March 13th 1969 acetate verison of Dig It)
'Can ya dig it?'
Is the question that screams
Across The Universe in the form of soundwaves.
Tension fills the air, they try to let down thier hair

That is currently at thier knees,
Just above thier socks that are
White, Brown, and a McCartney yellow one
That sticks out like McCartney is in the session.

'All you gotta do is ask for it!'
All McCartney asks for is Something
That he will not be getting;
He is the only one truely there.

The smiles; fake, but everywhere
Are a long way away from the session,
McCartney is trying so hard.
'All you gotta do is say "Pretty Please"'
But this won't make them commit.

Nothing but a jam, cranberry sauce indeed, they joke;
'Dig It after tea, ya can dig it after play.....'
A momentary laspe of caring fills McCartney, he might
Aswell enjoy himself, for time is short,
And ends need to be tied up.

'Like a Rollin' Stone...' Real smiles all around?;

'Like the FBI...' A joke a Noels' expense; Real laughter?

'Matt Busby...' The one and only; It took this long to settle?

'Can ya dig it?' The truth is, no-one can.

It is over.
Exchange of handshakes.
Promptly on with there lives.
