Author of two stories

Out of my window,
where shadows run deep,
amidst the winter chill,
a figure stands tall.
A figure did i say, no wait
for that really is two figures,
each a towering presence
in the silent neighborhood.
I intend not this be a drag,
but,reader,that would be highly unwise
if i be just one narrator,
when there is not one,but two stories on the run!
The lamp post, its luminescence ghostly,
looks even more intimidating
backed against the wall,
which flaunts a look so vinyl.
Seated on a bench not so far
is a gentleman with a story to write.
He writes on and on
for he has ample light.
I am looking at his satin suit-
pretty clearly blue even in the yellow light,
when a possible reality dawns on me
-maybe i am not, after all, the sole narrator!
But the possibilities are many,
and this just one of them,
so i can conveniently brush it aside
and be the sole narrator.
Besides,he seems to scribble
more than simply write.
But then,curiosity has its ways
once you have lowered your guard!
So here i am,author of two stories,
and one no more than a wave of questions
that should only malign the story.
But reader!Please understand my limitations!
So i take a guess
for i have two stories to narrate,
and fall for my lesser judgement
that the gentleman be an author.
But questions!I beg your pardon!
I intend here to link two stories,
and then in a rush of adrenaline
seek you with all my pleasure!
But the pleasure isn’t mine
for all that i am now thinking is,
this gentleman of an author
is he but writing about the man on the window!!
The luminescent lamp post,i suspect
the author of all nights,
with all its grandeur
has perhaps the last chuckle.
Ah!That,reader,is how
my two stories should collide!
And with this,i take a beat
