Finding a Tool in the Utensil Drawer

I opened the drawer in a desperate rush
Tryng to get lunch cooked without fuss
I poked and pushed through lot of stuff
Inside my utensil drawer

In panic I used a spoon that begged
I'll help you whisk the scrambled egg
The kettle erupted in whistling tap tap
Potato cakes shouted we're dancing in fat
I can't shut the utensil drawer

Inside the oven tomatoes were roasted
Let us out before we are toasted
The next thing I list on my to do chores
I know it's a pain and a terrible bore
I must make time to clean out
that darn utensil drawer
