Enjoying Us Now

A spring in my walk
a laugh in my talk
thoughts of fun
out in the sun
all of these consume me

A beat of the heart
is just the start
as it bursts out
with a great shout
I am filled with glee

Thoughts of the mind
are so unkind
to show that the world
is coming unfurled
at the mention of "we"

But I don't care
what's in the air
as long as us two
continue to do
what's fun in life we see

Our little group
this fun little troop
will have a blast
as time races past
this crowd of you and me
