Death by Misadventure

A man is sitting on a branch
Above a damn foul chicken pen
He seems to be lost in a trance
And sawing at the very limb

The tree branch bends but still he cuts
He's sinking downward near the poo
He saws with zeal and both eyes shut
Then falls into that caustic goo

His screaming mouth gets filled with it
The chickens come and peck his eyes
His expletive, ironic, "Shit!"
Devoid of dignity he dies

Cause of death was kindly censored
His end came by misadventure
