The struggle to find a parking space.
Well it’s Black Friday so I go to the mall;
but as to parking, there’s no spaces at all.
Full parking lot,
retail parking lot.
Ahead and behind,
there are no spaces to find,
full parking lot.

I drive along within my Honda Accord;
yet everywhere Toyota, Chevy and Ford.
Full parking lot,
retail parking lot.
I search and I seek,
(this is no place for the meek),
full parking lot.

I’m used to spotting spaces parking galore;
but now I see ‘twill be a difficult chore,
so thanks a lot,
yeah yeah thanks a lot.
A vehicle sea,
alas egad woe is me,
full parking lot.

Amid this search for spot I grind my own gears;
enmeshed I mull from J.C. Penney to Sears.
I‘m getting hot,
I am getting hot.
From within my car
I am not getting too far,
full parking lot.

Thus I become a stalking predator show;
when folks emerge I watch to see where they go.
What hath lot wrought?
What hath this lot wrought?
Hey look, there’s a space!
I pounce with ungainly grace,
a parking spot.
