Parking Lots

The place that I use to go
And wonder what it's all for
Try to cope with what I know
It isn't there anymore

The place that I used to see
Walking by on that busy street
The secrets that it held for me
It isn't there anymore

Now it's just a parking lot
Nothing left at all to show
A story that meant so much
As I walk by in the snow

But now it's just a parking lot
The place has been torn away

But now it's just a parking lot
Empty of all that used to be

The place that I used to go
It would bring me back again
To all the love and happiness
It isn't there anymore

The place I used to see
In the secret garden I hide
All the things that might be
It isn't there anymore

Now it's just a parking lot
The people they come and go
Never knowing on that spot
I had hope and smiles to show

But now it's just a parking lot
The place has been torn away

But now it's just a parking lot
Empty of all that might have been
