Escape from our demons

ESCAPE FROM OUR DEMONS



Can we truly escape from our demons?

To find a haven among the ashes of a forgotten world,

Or do we carry our burdens upon our backs,

And reflect them from our own image in the light?



If we can escape them would we not lose ourselves?

Like the mistaken crack of an artistâs sculpture that truly creates it,

Or the mistakes of the ancestors that have created our world,

Would we then truly desire to defeat our past?



And what would we, as mankind be without our demons?

If we have never failed, wouldnât mankind be like a rusting old sculpture,

To be abandoned with no hope of improving or evolving,

To turn orange and slowly break away till there is nothing left,

Not even a trace of what was once a ruling race?
