In My Dreams

In My Dreams

Inside of a book
I can dissolve into a new life.
I can live and be loved and fight and survive.

On that lonely quiet swing
I can fly.
I can go anywhere and never look down for anything.

Inside my head with my music
I can be my own.
I can be alive in my own way with no one to interrupt.

But inside my dreams
I am new.
I am alive and well and new and breathing.
And in my dreams
Everything is ok.
Forever.

And so I live there.
On purpose.
Because there
Everything is just so beautiful.
And it's always ok.
At the very least.
