Acidic Tears


Acidic tears from angry skies
fall on the fallow ground below.
Ignore the desultory cries:
“It kills the land and plants won’t grow.”

“It’s nature’s fault, we’re not to blame!
Acidic tears from angry skies
is nothing new, more of the same,”
say corporation alibies.

Stocks steeply soar; they reap the prize
as death’s elixir’s spread around.
Acidic tears from angry skies;
the only moisture to be found.

Politician’s word pollution,
pocket millions while telling lies.
Acceptance is their grand solution.
Acidic tears from angry skies.
