a saraband--sugar and I have a problematic relationship
Don’t call me Sugar I’m not sweet--
(feel free to test it, taste my blood).
I should be more than just a treat.
You say you've loved me through all time
and yet, you never say my name.
It makes me think it's just a line--
you think our love’s some kind of game.

I thought we'd sworn forever vows,
but you won't look me in the eye.
Do you recall their color, now?
You said your heart beat followed mine,
that we would never be apart--
but as we lie here, intertwined
your blood flows with some other heart.
