The Cat in the Black Hat

There was a man

in a black hat,

who walked the streets

until he met a black cat.

The cat said, "why do you wander

these streets night after night?"

The man replied

"my hands are tied."

"I do not see a rope anywhere,

not even in your hair."

The man reached for the cat,

who hissed and spat!

He then took off his black hat

and stuffed the cat in there.
