The importance of Human Association and the importance of International Uniform Law
The following principles are intended to give insight to the significance of human association and the consequences of isolation and protectionism.
It is crucial to the security and the stability of society that we do not separate ourselves into tribalism, consequently denying others equal opportunity and fair treatment. Local communities are important for the development of standards and values, but local communities must also work together with other communities to ensure universal goals. Starting at the local level through association with the people and the institutions that our most important for our success and participation in making our surrounding communities great places to live and work is an effective way to influence widespread aspirations.
What I mean by providing opportunity for everyone is not an avenue to public assistance, but an opportunity to self-sufficiency. A chance at becoming a productive member of society with an emphasis on giving opportunity for the return of contribution to the greater good.
These principles are not intend to be a globalization manifesto, the intentions are to highlight the problems within a world that does not have uniform laws, consistent regulations, similar principles and shared ethics.
It is not the splendor of people to be bound to their past. Splendor is having the freedom to seek a better future. We must evaluate the lessons of history and teach the next generation to avoid the hardships and suffering our past has created.
Change is a constant process. It can be exciting yet also difficult. As the world spins in this constant cycle of instability, remaining separated as we are does not seem to be a viable option. Chaos, disorder and mayhem will always be with us until we realize that it is the absence of correlation that keeps the human race separated and distraught.
Change is a challenge and an opportunity for better things. Change may appear as a threat, but living with constant contention and conflict poses a much greater threat to the future of human civilization.
To the fearful change is intimidating, because to them it means that things will only get worse. To the hopeful change is encouraging, because to them it means that things will improve. To the confident change is inspiring because the challenge exist to make things better. Quality awaits for those who seek to change a world which is painful to change. By changing the attitudes of our minds we can change the aspects of our lives. I cannot say that things will get better, but I can say we must change if things are to become better. We cannot forecast the direction our future will takes us, but we can adjust our posture to reach a better destination. It is not the strongest who survive. It is those who are most responsive to change.
Improvements are not possible unless change takes place. A civilization that is able to transform and adapt to change is a civilization that flourishes. Containing the progress of a global community by enshrining old ways and customs as though it is all we have is a misdeed against humanity. Our future must be charted with common sense, absent of alienation, discrimination and hostility amongst people who do not share the same beliefs. We must resolve are disputes not through war, but through a democratic process.
We have to approach this with great concern, for the virtues of freedom and liberty are at risk. The world needs not only a governing body that administers law while supporting independence, it needs a balance which makes freedom possible.
Our world must have leadership in the sense just as parents should not allow their children to do whatever without remorse. This leadership must come through management and representation. Representation of the people, for the people, by the people, whereas this world cannot and must not have a dominating force. What gain can be achieved from dominance where the only way to maintain it is through endless suppression of people who only lose faith in the dominating force? Society flourishes only when people are free to achieve greatness. Economies and living standards improve when everyone has equal opportunity to advance. Technical advancements are only achieved when minds are set free. We cannot and must not allow out of control governments, tyrants, rogue nations, corporations and religious institutions to control our destiny.
Life should be experienced fully and deeply with appreciation of everything and everyone around us. With equal rights and mutual aid among each other we should have faith that as human beings we can control our own destiny and benefit from the rewards of development. Let us find happiness in the present, in nature and the affections of our fellow humans.
There is value in all who are determined to excel and there should be equal liberties for all to pursue excellence. This life is ours to make it worthy, both for ourselves and others. The development of mankind has been made possible only from the cooperation of individuals. Our existence beyond mere survival depends on mutual aid and collaboration. Laws, governments and institutions are justifiable only if they contribute to the progression of humankind. With a just and fair world for all, we can have a life free of transgression, poverty, war, disease and discrimination.
