A strange poem about a man who fights to be relevant in a world than few understand.

He stands
The recent man
He plans
Then contemplates
Agitating his fans
Those few who adore
His absolute madness
Making them think
Out of cue and context
Out of truth and logic
Into the wilds of darkness
He brings those who’ll come
They must take each step by choice
Never can they be forced
He alone believes in choice
Sworn to obey what they decide
He will show them everything
Will they ever really return
It is completely up to them
The journey and the destination
Are never the same thing
Everyone who dares
What he offers understands
The risk they are about to face
He brings them sanity
Placing it at their feet
Daring them to again believe
In all that he himself
Believes in least of all
Some do while others won’t
Some can while many cannot
Either way
He himself cares least of all
He is just doing his thing
His absolute purpose
In this world of chaos
The recent man
Has his plan
Those who come close
Are certainly part of it
Those who stand clear
Unwilling within their fear
Cannot think as he does
They will not see as he does
They will never know more
Because all that they
Are willing to know
Is abundantly less
He has spent his life in pain
He has spent each of his days
In a livable form of hell
His emotionless heart speaks
His numb feelings remain silent
He is plain and true
He will never tell you a lie
Because for him life
Is the only real thing he knows
The only real lie he understands
The recent man
His words are wisdom
For those seeking wisdom
And ignorance for those seeking
Nothing of what he is offering
He stands
He plans
Then contemplates
He implements his point
Making it for those
Who wish to understand
His heart is solid and cold
His emotions are barren and numb
His mind
So very much alive
Always thinking
Always plotting what’s next
For him and those like him
He will never stop until death
Even then his words
Will live as an immortal reminder
Of what he
And many others
Have always wished…
