A weird poem about a storm that comes before someone close to me dies.

Black skies
Lightning shines
Thunder unwinds
Shattering the calm
Unnerving the mind
I can only ponder
Mysterious wonders
I can only grip
The promise of death
Not mine but another’s
I know it’s coming
Thinning my world
It always does
First there is the storm
Then there is the end
On this terrible night
One will never again
See a day’s new dawn
It will be someone I love
Someone that I deeply need
A person irreplaceable to me
There are so few left
So few to meant to die
The storm is getting closer
Falling further down
Blanketing the ground
Suffocating those abound
As it searches for the one
Meant to no longer belong
It won’t overlook them
There will be no escape
The lightning crashes a tree
The wind picks up three
All of them
Ripped from the ground
All of them
Thrown far across the known
Bolts of death burn
Much of what’s left
Thunder cracks the mind
Splits the heads of those
Caught in plain sight
Mini vortexes of wind
Spiral at my feet
Swirl across my skin
Time freezes for a second
That last for an eternity
Then a well-orchestrated climax
Splits the heavens up high
And shatters the ground down wide
The person meant to die
The person irreplaceable to me
Is wiped clean
Removed from this earth
Ripped from my life
Instant obliteration
There is nothing left
Nothing missed
Then just as it has before
And I’m sure a few more
The storm of the end
Clears from my turbulent sky
Again the sun comes clear
Again an ever-widening blue
Bleeds into view
Nature whispers out loud
I’m coming back into the fold
The world once again
Is a beautiful place
Just a slight bit different
Because the one I loved
The one that I needed
The one irreplaceable to me
Is no longer living within
This certain madness
That I continually scheme
I am not yet completely alone
But I am sure
That I am getting closer
All the time…
