Introduction of present day characters and enemies. |
Present day "What's this, where am I," the man said as he sweated and moved franticly while in a tied up chair. The lady walked towards him, her heels clapping on the floor as she got closer and closer. "Tell me, whose hunting us down? Four of us have died within the last week, which is unheard of. You think you guys are righteous , killing us in the name of goodness," the lady said as she circled around the captive man. "I won't tell you anything, specific orders from the boss. Heh, you think you're scary, my higher commands are worse." The lady then stared at the man, smiled, and then pulled out a golden scythe, with the word Lady Midday engraved on it. It at first appeared to be just about four inches, but upon the word "Cresce," it grew to be six feet long. "Ok Paul, time for your beheading." The lady picked up the scythe, brought it back, and sliced at Paul's head, with blood gushing across the floor and a rolling object in the shadows. "God damn, what the hell!" Paul woke up from his nightmare, while tied up in a chair again, this time in the middle of an alley surrounded by two people, a young guy in about his twenties from Indian descent, with an earring on his right ear, and long eye lashes that went with his light yellow complexion. "Mara, send me back in," the lady said as she took out her scythe, now back to four inches. "No problem Midday," Mara responded, as he stretched his hand towards the face of the man held hostage. "No, no, enough with the nightmares, stop, just stop, I'll confess, I'll con, con, confess, just, jus-t just stop, how many times can I experience death already, sheesh." Midday, a young woman with long white hair and a matching face of white facial features, responded with a faint smile. "Very well Paul, spill the beans." "Ok, well, there is this big bad fellow, who goes by the name Gideon. This guy is some bad stuff, apparently he could turn you guys to dust, with just a hand focused on your head, and within thirty seconds, you're done for, just dust. Apparently he was sent by Rafael, and this guy is no joke. "Gideon huh, that's crazy, we have to warn the others don't we Mara." "Hmm, yeah, we can't afford another one of our kind dead, our bosses will be mad themselves. Ugh, well I'm off this then, I will see you back at the headquarters." Mara picked up his bag and walked off, leaving Midday with Paul. "Will you let me go this time, I gave you guys what you wanted," replied Paul. "Oh, about that," Midday responded as she said the word "Cresce," elongating her scythe and slicing Paul's head. "Bet you wish this time it was a dream huh," she said as she stepped on Paul's decapitated head. Int of Headquarters. Mara and Midday entered a tall building with the name Infernus centered in big red bold letters. Inside the building consisted of red walls, with the seven deadly sins surrounded on each floor, and a wide range of music according to each sin playing on each floor. Mara and Midday reached the seventh floor, the meeting room and the sin of sloth, or avoidance of physical and spiritual work. Music consisted of songs that depicted a lazy day of not caring as well as songs depicting anti-religion. "First off, my only problem is death, F*ck heaven, I ain't showing no religion respect," the song started off. Inside was a meeting board full of fellow members. The main guy speaking was the Senior Vice President of Advice, Belphegor, who was an old short man, about 5'4, who had a slouched back, and a grumpy face. His beard was about three inches long, bleached in white hair. He had the power to change one's mind and perception with just a touch of his hand, and was strongest during the month of April both mentally and physically. He basically was known for brainwashing his competition to display his power. "Ok everyone, sit down, sit down now!" As Belphegor's scream got the whole room quiet, everyone quickly sat. The room consisted of nine different conference tables, all with nine chairs around each. Mara and Midday sat at the seventh conference table, the table of violence, with an empty chair right next to Midday. "We are missing someone," Mara said as he inspected the empty chair. "Word is someone skipped today, again, and is being replaced," said Asag, a middle aged man with a face so hideous, he wears a mask full of stitches over it. His face is said to be so terrifying that people's faces and animals alike would burn and melt off upon the sight of it. "Wow, another one off to spend time in the outside world by quitting allegence to us, this is getting crazy," Mara replied. "Now folks, I just wanted to say, times are becoming crazy, we are in more and more need of recruits. Go out there and find us some vulnerable and willing people. On top of that, the righteous are becoming stronger and stronger. Stay on your toes, and stick together, remember, bad things come in threes, so stay in groups of three, especially since the righteous are now doing it. I have put my men on more work now, and we need to make sure you guys are being protected. We have stronger enemies appearing, stronger than I could of estimated." Upon hearing the news everyone in the room began to chatter and fidget, unsure of what was to come. "Shut up!" Belphegor's scream once again made the room quiet, with just the sound of someone swallowing their spit being heard. "Aside from that, you guys may now go and do whatever you guys do, just becareful, I don't want any more of you guys being killed or hurt, it isn't good for our war against these righteous." Belphegor ended the meeting and everyone began to disperse, but before Mara and Midday could leave, he called them back. "Mara, Midday, you two stay, I have a new partner for you two, since you guys usually go about in a pair." "Yes sir, they replied." Soon after, a tall African American teen about 6 feet and seventeen years old with short dark hair walked in. "Guys, I would like you to meet Xezbeth, and guess what he does, he can reprogram one's mind in order to feed them lies," Belphegor said with a huge grin. "He should be useful to your group, especially since Mara has similar abilities. Now, you three go off and introduce each other, break the ice, whatever it is you guys do," Belphegor said as he walked off. Midday gave a huge smile to Xezbeth while Mara just stared, both at Midday's smile and Xezbeth, his new team member. New scene- Int of man's home, at a dinner table with his wife and his baby son "Hunny, may you pass the rice and lasagna," the man said as he licked his fingers. "Sure hunny," the wife replied as she kissed her husband on the lips. "Let's hurry and eat this food, then put the baby away so we could get to our fun," the man said as he winked and rubbed his left hand across his wife's right leg. "He, he, ok babe," the wife replied. She then stopped mid-way during eating and stared at her husband. "Hunny, why would you change your name to Krampus, it came out of nowhere. Even the pastor and fellow church members are wondering," the wife asked. "Hunny, I told you, I had received a divine revelation from a higher spirit, please, trust me, this is worth it. This will get you, I and the baby far," Krampus replied. "Ok sure, like a changed name will do anything Ben," his wife replied as she slammed her fork on the dinner plate. "What did I say about calling me my old name babe, what do you not get, I'm new and reborn," Krampus said as he slammed the table. Krampus was an average sized man about 5'7 whose job was to take care of church affairs as well as dress up as Santa Clause on Christmas. "Babe, trust me, we will be fine, we are shielded by the high and mighty," Krampus replied in an attempt at calming his wife. Just as his wife calmed down and smiled, the door slammed open, and a tall man with long black hair and a bulky build came inside. "Oh my God, oh my God, Krampus call the cops, call the cops!" Krampus' wife yelled as she stayed back. "Listen Gretchen, I got this one," Krumpus said as he pulled a chain from right under the table. "Asshole, you dare come in this house, do you not know who I am," Krumpus said as he swung the chain around and aimed it at the man's neck. Upon throwing the chain, the man grabbed it mid-way in the air, and swiftly pulled it forward, sending Krumpus flying at him. Krumpus landed knee first in front of the man, and in an instant, the man had his hand on Krumpus' face. "Who are you?" "My name is Gideon, and I'm here to cleanse the world of you impurities." "So you are the one killing us, but why me?" Krampus gazed into Gideon's eyes as Gideon responded, "Your troubles have gone far enough." Within seconds of Gideon's response, Krampus instantly turned to dust, and his ashes fell to the ground, all sand like and sudden. "Oh my God, get me help, get me help," Gretchen screamed as she ran to the phone. The baby began crying as well as it sensed trouble. Upon reaching the phone, Gretchen was pulled back with a force by Gideon's hand wrapped around her arm. She was pulled back with a force and carried away as Gideon pulled her downstairs in the family basement. "Where the hell are you taking me, get the hell off of me, I'll call the cops on you," Gretchen said as she twisted and turned, while slapping Gideon's arms, resulting in no flinching or setback on his part. "I'm taking you to the truth," Gideon said as she finally stopped and threw Gretchen to the basement floor. He then proceeded to open the locked door that was set in front of them. "No, that's my husband's secret door, no one is allowed there," Gretchen said as Gideon approached it. "Did he ever tell you what's inside here," Gideon asked as he looked back at Gretchen with a blank stare that made Gretchen keep quiet, stop sobbing and look. Gideon then proceeded and broke the door open with just the slap of his hand across the lock. It opened and upon it's opening; Gretchen gasped and covered her mouth, trying her best to not puke. Inside the door was a bunch of lifeless children, some with bones shown, and all wrapped around with chains and bells. "This is what your husband truly is," Gideon said as he approached Gretchen. Gretchen began to sob and cry as she tried to formulate words. "Bu- bu- but he was a family man, a man of God, how could he, this can't be." Gideon began to speak, "your husband and the others like him I'm hunting have sold their souls to powerful demons in exchange for power and fortune. Upon exchanging their souls, they are given new names to represent a rebirth. I alike was given a new name and rebirth by the higher upper angels; I went from Max to Gideon. It's my job to stop monsters like your husband from wreaking havoc." Gideon then proceeded to put his hand on Gretchen's head. "So that's why my husband changed his name, all this time, he had been telling me lies, us all lies," Gretchen said as a tear fell down her cheek. "Yes," Gideon responded as Gretchen fell and became dust, with just the water of her last tear on top of her ashes. Upstairs, with the baby crying, there became a shadow of the baby and Gideon, where Gideon placed his hand on the baby's head. Within seconds, the baby's cry stopped and in the background of the shadows, dust became of the baby. |
