An man visit the doctor for a normal check up to learn that he has only a months to live.
He placed the car in park, set the emergency brake and turned the key until the engine died. There he sat. He sat staring out the window at the small beige faced office building before him.
Normally he avoided medical offices and hospitals, but he reminded himself that he wasn't here for himself.
After months of polite hints followed by weeks of threatening, his wife had finally made the appointment for him. She even put a reminder in his new phone, damn thing would vibrate and ring the most annoying tone at midday, everyday for the past week. So he relented.
