A poem explaining what happens when you drink and drive.
Her heart was laid out on the table,
She had just lost a friend,
A love too strong to break,
Too bad it had to end.

The man driving the truck,
Was coming from a bar,
His breath was rank,
He couldn't stay awake,
Too bad he didn't see the car.

With a smack and a boom,
The two vehicles collided,
Metal on metal,
They wondered how and why,
Yet silence is all you hear,
Because time slows way down,
Too bad time didn't cease and die all the way out.

The frame of each car,
Is crumbling under the pressure,
Windows break,
And shoot inward with no mistakes,
Too bad they can't escape.

When help arrives,
Drunk man strives,
But other car is smashed,
Too bad they can't see inside the less lucky lady's van.

The girl's friend,
Just can't let her go,
She can't believe a word they say,
Too bad they speak the truth.

Memories are there forever,
So is love and likes and warmth,
From care to help and more galore,
To death and dares and darker nights,
They all lead to the heart,
Which is pleased to speak with you,
Too bad it speaks more death than love this night of tragedy.
