I look into the past
As if through
A looking-glass.
As if I could
Just step into it
And relive those days
That flew so fast.

If only I could
Step forward and
I, too, could be there,
I would run
To find you,
Looking everywhere.

I can see you
In the distance,
So young and
Full of Life.
I see us both,
Together,
As loving man
And wife.

I see the joy-filled
Moments
We shared
So blissfully.
I see us clinging
Together
Almost desperately.

Too soon, I see you
Fading;
For you are now
Just a memory.
Yet, I will still
Hang onto
Those moments,
For as long
As I can see.
