The first signs of spring (Form: Dizain)
Winter Fade

The last breath of winter blows 'cross the field
as brightly hued blossoms sway in response.
A chromatic chorus line, now revealed
by the promise of warmth. A renaissance
of vibrancy, scattered with nonchalance
like broken shards of multicolored glass
strewn thoughtlessly across hillocks and grass.
The tinctures of decay must now compete
with prismatic changes that will surpass
their fading palette of shades of concrete.
