What lies reveal
Love is just a lie slipping off the tongues of men;
Tongues like snakes which seek out weakness,
And then break broken hearts again.

The words are like a venom spat around my head;
An acid eating dreams away,
A poisoned kind of dead.

I've wasted years of sorrow lying on a hollow bed;
Tears of vanity fall blindly,
And I'm alone again.
