An odd poem about stepping beyond faith and all that you are so certain about. |
-Abandoned You- by Keaton Foster The master Won’t come Abandoned you Long since Disregarded me Similar we may be Ridiculous indeed You have your faith A system of rule Within a margin of truth I have nothing at all Not a thing to believe Accept for myself And the lies that I tell Wicked is my tongue Twisted are these fingers Perilous apendetical fools Controlled by my mind A beast unto itself Out there is a warning post In the middle of an empty field Nailed to it is a small Inconspicuous sign To read, one must get close To understand one must be A million lifetimes away Written with great care It says, in not so many words Don’t cross this point Don’t go any further For if you do If you somehow dare Then Beyond here Is freedom from every idea Escapism from every faith And a lacking of Every totalitarian state Out there Beyond right here Everything does wait Abandoned you The master God of two truths Won’t save you out there You won’t ever be spared If questioned as to why If so dared Your God way above Such a heretic inclined Will further reply Along these lines You stepped beyond You went past every point Willingly you stepped Out into such madness In that place That home of darkness sown I, your once proud master Cannot and will not go Zero is my control Then And just as quick No matter the solvency of your love Regardless of any and all connection Instantly he will simply forget Moving on to the very next He won’t regret Such regret will be yours alone Like a wound upon your heart Like a stain upon your soul Never again will you know Because Backwards you cannot go You will only be able to advance To a distant place Beyond the boundary set And the warning post left Abandoned you Easy for him Your God that is Not so easy for you I can’t promise what you’ll find I can’t guarantee what you’ll see But from your crutches You’ll be freed I’d let you follow me If for a second I knew And truly understood Where it is I myself am going But of that I don’t And always won’t Abandoned you Your God so far above Never once has possessed me I am so completely free And if you do decide Then so should you be… Abandoned You Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
