Rise Above

Alone in a sea of faded dreams
I float so aimlessly
With no beginning, there is no end
As far as I can see

Voices whisper in the wind
I can't make out their words
I close my eyes and drift away
Their message left unheard

At times I sink below the waves
At times I rise above
Sometimes the water's cold with fear

I see the deep blue sky

So peacefully fly by

A longing fills my soul
