THE OUTCAST
He knows what it’s like to be hated
He suffers it every day
He knows what it’s like to be talked about
To be haunted by what people say

He knows what it’s like to be mistrusted
To have friends pulled away
He knows what it’s like to be cut off
To be left on his own every day

He knows what it’s like to be misunderstood
To see good intentions destroyed
He knows what it’s like to have things to think through
And certain situations to avoid

He knows what it’s like to be shunned
Like a leper or someone unclean
He knows what it’s like to be victimised
The people he meets are all mean.

He DOESN’T know what it’s like to be accepted
To be welcomed as a friend
He DOESN’T know what it’s like to fit in
He just wishes this torment would end.
