The year in review of my publications |
Been a wonderful year for me, writing and publication wise. Now if I can only figure out how to spin it into $$$$$$! 2013 got off to a big start with the publication of my second book, Ice Cream Camelot, an historical memoir about my growing up during the Kennedy administration. Available and selling well as an e book, Ice Cream Camelot will be out as a paperback this coming spring. And speaking of Kennedy, I was honored by the John F Kennedy Library by being asked to submit a brief personal remembrance of JFK which will be placed on display to the public along with other memories. The wonderful folks at the library were of invaluable help in doing research for Ice Cream Camelot. The rest of the year saw quite a few short stories accepted for on line and print publication. Several of my poems were also published. I am particularly proud of Black Wall which was published on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial web site, and is now being considered for inclusion at the Viet Nam War Center. My first attempt at writing a 'romance' story found its way into the latest Romance Magazine an on line and print monthly. It is available through Amazon and also the eFiction Magazine site. I also have a chilling short story in the July issue of eFiction Magazine. My writer's blog and poetry blog have been getting a steady increase of traffic with Alexa traffic ratings reaching well below 1,000,000 (the lower the number the better, Alexa is a wonderful and free APP for tracking your site's success and ranking against every other site on the web). And finally, I have a short story and a poem in the running for the yearly awards given by the National Liberties Review publication. As they say, just being published is a reward in itself. So, now that I have tooted my own horn, I need to get back to more networking and publicizing and horn blowing. 2014 is almost upon us. You can find my writings and ramblings at the links below, and you will find other links there to lead you to more ramblings and musings. Thanks, enjoy, be sure to 'like', 'link' and comment. And oh, yes, have a very happy and blessed holiday!
