The City of Dreams (Why is it so?)
It is a typical day in the city of dreams, it's quater past 8 in the morning and the sun directs its rays mercilessly onto the breadth and length of this metro city. For its locals Mumbai is not really a city of dreams; but for those who migrate here from their native lands have a different opinion. Just like it's said that the, “the grass is always greener on the other side”, it's the same with the opinions of the migraters which is almost always opposite to the voice of the locals.

The title 'City Of Dreams' given to this metro city is coined simply because there are many opportunities here that one can earn a quick silver. Little do people know that this city was not what it once used to be. I cannot share experience of the simpler times, since I myself am not that experienced, so what I know of this city is all known from word of mouth. The days are always hot and humid, making you sweat from morn till noon after which the sun decides to increase its intensity. But even with the unforgiving weather and fast life, it also has a certain magic through which I realised the real meaning behind it's great title.

Living in this City for all my 20 year, I can be a critic of Mumbai a place which is filled with many great moments of my life, as well as my worst. As in the case of almost every human being, we are 70% of liquid and 30% of flaws. Liquid is an element that takes the shape of the container that you pour it in; 70 % of our globe is also covered with water, and similar to us it too as flaws.

Now I, being a homosapien, am judgemental, so obviouslyido point out flaws of everything; did the same with my hometown. The magic of this town lies not in the structures of modern life, but in the stories of it's magical people; like Saint Nicholas' magical workshop wouldn't be magical without the elves who keep the magic alive. A place where the weather is unbearable and the enviornment is noisy, the people take these two elements and turn it from a nightmare into a dream.
