A girl trying to escape a killer
Jackie ran, trees flying past her as the twigs lying on the cold ground cut at her ankles. Blood stained the blanket of snow under her bare, pale, feet. Her heart accelerated and she started breathing more sharply. The cold air stung her throat as she took a deep breath while hiding behind a tree. In the background she could hear a faint sound of yelling and she began to cry, tears falling like the fresh snow in which she had been running on. The yelling got louder and she started to sob, like a little child, as she stumbled to her feet. She had to run, that’s all she could do, fear had taken over like a blazing fire. Her feet dug into the soft snow; making it crunch with every step. Her body felt as if it had been numbed. The end was coming. The snow was disappearing and she could no longer see land in front of her. The sound of water started to get loud as she came to the end of her fearful journey. Falling to her knees she screamed,
“Why didn’t you tell me?!” The dark shadow came up slowly as a chuckle escaped his lips.
“Here, let me show you…” The dark shadow started to become clear as he stepped closer to her. Jackie whimpered and cringed when she saw the huge boulder like muscles he then showed through his torn white t-shirt.
Please don’t do this…”, her voice filled with hate and fear. He was hiding something; she saw the shine of something peaking out of his sleeve. Jackie screamed a blood-curling scream. He smiled as he brought the knife to her view. The wooden handle already stained in his last victims warm blood.
“It’s time!”, he bellowed.
