In Each Leaf That Falls

I see You in each leaf that falls, and ones that are still green,
In every miracle that's fulfilled; and in the ones yet unseen.
I feel You in my heart, as real as any person made of flesh,
Though I've never seen Your face...You're the one who knows me best.

Oh, Be the King of my heart and life every single day,
Not just when things are peaceful and quiet...and Your goodness flows my way
But be the Lord of all my broken dreams...and deep despairs, and silent screams.
For You know what it's like to be deserted, and betrayed dearest El Elyon
So That's why I choose you as my hero, my Lord, and my champion.

For You are Lord, when the enemy rushes in like a consuming flood,
When I run to you seeking shelter in your arms, and under your blood.
When my flesh is failed, and there is no hope, you become my breath,
There's no hell that You are not deeper still, you reach the darkest depth.

You are my reason to arise joyfully each day, and you're my rest in the night.
Even when I want to quit and there's no logical reason not to take flight.
I can hide in the Cleft of the Rock, taking shelter under Your wing.
Amazing peace is all mine in Your presence...You are my reason for living

Now when doors are closed and paths are hidden, and change is on the winds,
Because You said, "It is finished.", I have no worries, this is where life begins.
Where Your Glory and Honor abounds, carrying me to such glorious heights,
Removing cares and sorrows, replacing them with sacred and holy delights.

Though the islands crumble into the seas and the Sun becomes as ash,
You will never leave me or forsake me, You're the First and You're the Last.
When ones I love hurt and suffer and cry, leave the earth, and return to dust,
I still praise You and do not question the only one in who I put my trust.
