a fleeting moment escapes
the vision of the past
materializes
and there you are
standing bare to the world

you have just discovered the world
her breath
her smell
the tender scent of lipstick
the joyous tingling
of your first kiss

your life continues
you grow up
become an adult
until you find your self
your humble beginnings
flashing in front of your computer screen

just a glimpse
of what could have been
of what has been
of the beauty of your life

life reverts to innocence
