A poem entry for Writer's Cramp daily prompt contest.
Some things in life are very strange
Encounters can be quite the rage
For once I came upon some guy
Who told me he knew me, not a spy
I looked him over with a stare
Was this, I was thinking, some kind of dare

No I really do know very much about you
How can that be – I was ready to sue
Honestly I find you very intriguing
I wondered if he were merely deceiving
Tell me then, how do you know me
He smiled, winked then leaned to see

I thought he was peering deep into my eyes
And then to my astounded surprise
He vanished like a wisp of air
And I heard in whispers very fair
Give me time and I will tell
I am your dreams in you I dwell.
