I stared at my new town passing by. It was hard to let go of old things, but even harder to adjust to new ones. The car stopped at some old brick apartment complex. "Are you sure you don't want my help settling in?" My aunt asked with a concerned look on her face. She tried to spark up a conversation, but all I wanted was to be alone. "No thanks" I replied keeping my eyes on the cracked sidewalk below me. "Okay then, remember, I am a floor and a door away" she said then drove off. I walked into the apartment building to room D5. I rolled my luggages to the mattress in my room, too depressed to unpack. I sat on the mattress wondering, why I let that offer with my aunt go. It was cold and empty, and I felt even more alone than ever. I let tear roll down my face. Auntie is gone to work, my parents are gone, and everything I left back in my old town is gone. I layed on the bed, no blackets or sheets, not even a pillow. I let myself fall asleep, in a lonely, cold room.
