An Infinite Love

When I first suspected and found out
There was never a moment’s doubt,
That when I first held you I knew
Several lives of knowing you would be too few.
The days of youth will go fast,
My love for you will always be vast.
The time of your unconditional devotion,
Goes away with double digits, is my notion.
For as your time on earth grows older
Your feelings for me may turn colder.
Because you have your own opinions of mind
Now my advocacy makes you go blind.
Your love for me becomes vague.
Being with me seems like a plague,
When you don’t want me to come around,
It makes my mood extremely downed.
I can only hope through all of this you’ll know,
That my love for you will always still grow.
For even if you feel like you hate me
My love you cannot abate, you see.
Love is as lasting as the moon and sun,
It’s lite for you will never shun.
So when you look back to those days
While you were in that hurtful phase,
You’ll see that my love for you
Stayed strong and true.
Because no matter what you develop
My infinite love will it envelop.
